"I find The Bowen Technique very relaxing."

The Bowen Technique

How may The Bowen Technique help?

People often ask what The Bowen Technique is and how it works.  You may well have heard of The Bowen Technique, although you may not have tried it to realise how it may help you.  Everybody responds differently to The Bowen Technique, and each session is specific to you.  Most people find that they feel more relaxed, supple and able to move more easily.  Your range of movement and flexibility may also increase.  Often people feel more balanced and energised.  Other benefits may include improved digestive function, lymphatic drainage and a reduction in breathing difficulties, making it easier to breathe.

The  Bowen Technique is a therapy that everyone may benefit from.  It is suitable for adults and children, including newborn babies, pregnant women and the elderly.  Pregnant women may find The Bowen Technique useful to relieve the back pain associated with being pregnant.  The Bowen Technique could be used as a means to support your body with the structural and postural changes that your body undergoes during your pregnancy.

The Bowen Technique works particularly well with children and babies as they have no barriers to receiving the therapy.  As such the appointment time needed may be shorter.  Infant colic and breathing difficulties are two examples of child health issues that may be alleviated with The Bowen Technique, as this helps the diaphragm to relax and function more easily.

Most people find The Bowen Technique to be very relaxing and clients often feel rested during the session.

The Bowen Technique may be used as a means to improve health and well being.  Athletes and sportsmen and women may use it to help maintain and increase performance, whilst minimising injury. With regular sessions, fewer injuries may be sustained and an increase in performance may be noted.

I offer appointments during the daytime on weekdays at various locations in Norfolk.  I also offer evening and weekend appointments at my home in Norwich for those people who are unable to attend during the day.
