What may I expect during a Healing session?

The first consultation is longer than subsequent appointments as I like to take a full case history from you.  This gives an indication of what you have been through and what issues you would like me to address for you.  All information given is confidential.  A full healing session follows this, so you get the full benefit of the healing from your first session.  This appointment generally lasts about an hour and a half.

Subsequent appointments generally last about an hour, as we spend a short time reviewing the previous session before moving onto current issues that maybe affecting your health and well being.

The healing session is conducted fully clothed and lying down on a couch.  For those people who find it difficult to lie down on a couch, healing may be conducted sat in a comfortable armchair.    

People experience different things when receiving healing.  Some people feel warmth or tingling, others may feel cool or nothing at all.  It is not necessary to feel anything to receive the benefits of healing.  Each session is individual to you, and you may feel different things at each session.  Indeed you may feel different things from different healers.  The important thing is how you feel after the session.  Most people say that they feel relaxed and energised.

I always advise plenty of water after healing, as this helps your body process and let go of anything it no longer wants.

I am often asked by clients how often they should come for healing.  It’s a bit like working with layers of an onion.  We work through one layer at a time with each session.  So it depends upon your own personal circumstances and what you want to work on.  Typically clients start off by coming once a week to start the process.  I usually say try it once to see how you get on, and then have a session once a week for three weeks to see whether it is for you.  You may then review the progress you have made, and decide what to do next.  Often we start to spread out the intervals between each healing session.  Some clients come once every few months for healing to maintain the progress they have made.  Indeed, some clients only come once, as it sorts the health issue they came with.  It is entirely up to you.
